Breast Cancer Club Community Guidelines

Breast Cancer Club welcomes you to engage with others on your Breast Cancer diagnosis and journey.

We ask that users treat each other with courtesy and respect at all times.
We reserve the right to delete any comments or block users that fall outside of our values. All messages must add to the body of knowledge.

Refrain from Hate Speech and Bullying

Make sure everyone feels safe. Bullying, cursing and harassment of any kind is not allowed, and degrading comments about race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, gender or identity will not be tolerated.

Be Kind and Courteous

We're all in this together to welcome each other. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural, please be kind and mindful: do not personally attack anyone during a disagreement. Finding connections through shared experiences remind us we're not alone. Listen, support and share to nurture these purposeful connections.

No Spam and Staying on Topic

Spam and posts on irrelevant links are not acceptable on Breast Cancer Club. We welcome your feedback, provided your comments are relevant to the topic.

Medical Advice and Misinformation

We do not permit content that is inaccurate, false, or causes harm to our community, such as non-scientifically proven breast cancer cute. Sharing tips and treatment options from your own experience is allowed. Any medical advice shared on Breast Cancer Club are only recommendations based on individual life experiences with breast cancer. Always communicate with your medical team regarding any medical advice.

Graphic Images and Sensitive Content

Any graphic or inappropriate content such as pictures with visible internal organs, genitalia, pornographic images or sexually explicit content is forbidden. Content that has a clear connection to breast cancer such as mastectomy or other surgeries that do not involve genitals are allowed.

Seeking Funds and/or Donations

Asking for money in any form or giving out investment tips breaches these guidelines. If you are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact your local community center.

Advertising

Breast Cancer Club is an ad free app. This includes, but is not limited to: monetized promotions, buying or selling items, spam, irrelevant links, posts or comments with non-scientifically proven links to external platforms. This kind of content will be removed.

Reporting Inappropriate Behavior

Reporting inappropriate behavior seen on Breast Cancer Club app helps keep the community safe. To create the best possible community experience, please report anyone that breaches these guidelines. Breast Cancer Club does not tolerate intentional and repeated misuse of the reporting function, such as submitting reports due to personal disagreements or false reporting.

Personal Information

Breast Cancer can be an intimate and sensitive topic. There is never any pressure to share anything you don't want to. Breast Cancer Club app is a place to connect and share what you feel comfortable with sharing. Post only your own photos. Sharing other members' information and/or content outside of this platform is strictly forbidden.

Posting personal information on the Mobile Application means your information is publicly accessible. We strongly recommend that you avoid disclosing personal information that could be used to identify you (such as name, age, address, or name of employer).

Respect Everyone's Privacy

Being part of the club requires mutual trust. Genuine, expressive discussions make groups great, but may also be sensitive and private. Before posting, make sure you have the right to post protected intellectual property, including copyrights, trademarks and service marks.
